Wall of Remembrance

Brave are the brothers and sisters who stood in solidarity; who bore the burdens of braving homophobia that we might take our place in history.

These individuals have passed away, but their memory and contribution to the GLBT community will not be forgotten. Omissions are not intentional. Submissions, additions, and corrections are always welcome. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Wegman, Paul

March 12, 1945-2004

Photograph

Paul's talents have blessed the stages of Central Florida since 1975 and during his lifetime, performed in more than 100 plays that included Bent, The Elephant Man, A Christmas Carol, Othello, On Tina Tuna Walk, Little Shop of Horror, A Midnight Summers Dream, and Angels in America. His most infamous role was that of the bawdy "Miss P", that spanned over 25 years at the Parliament House resort. His playful banter on the stage of the Footlight Theater left the audience crying out "Pussy", "Roll" and his shout of "Put Your Hands Together!" always created a spontaneous and on-cue clap from the audience. He was an accomplished director, performer, and female impersonator who loved to read. Paul was born March 12, 1945.
